Fuel Flow Meter – Do You Have Any Idea What It Is?

Our house is close to a very picturesque beach, and because of its location, I have never ever been bored during vacations. My sister and I are a formidable duo and every summer we team up to have some new type of fun. Every summer, our challenge is to find something new to do. There are only two rules to that – it should be legal and it should not harm anybody physically or mentally.

What Do Fuel Flow Meters Have To Do With A Summer Holiday At The Beach?

Last year, just a few months before our summer holidays, mom bought us a computer each – we never shared anything in our lives, and hence, we always had two of whatever utility items were there (or toys). Dad installed broadband Internet connectivity and this opened to us a most fascinating world of unending information. The Internet was every day taking both of us through a kaleidoscope of facts which amazed us. The Internet was simply wonderful.

The computers were not a common occurrence in our neighborhood yet. Hence, we had the upper hand on the other kids around our block who did not experience yet the power and vastness of the Internet. One day, as we were playing with some children on the beach, my sister got an idea.

Why not start a quiz bet and ask the children to ask us something that they thought it is most difficult to answer. If we could come up with an answer the next day, then we won he bet; if not we would loose. We used to check out the word/ phrase/ topic on the Internet and then give the answer the next day.

Our winning acted as a spur-on instead of discouragement, and every day the children would meet us with a new challenge. We earned so much in bets, that we decided not work any more during this summer vacation and we were looking forward to a great time.

One day, my sister and I took up a challenge with a couple of new boys – they had asked us what a fuel flow meter was? Confident that the next day we will come up with the answer, we doubled the bet. In the evening both of us went to our ‘magic boxes’ to find out what was a fuel flow meter.

After an hour of searching, we realized that ‘fuel flow meter’ is a tough subject. It is not that there was no information on fuel flow meter; rather that what we got was so much beyond us, that it might as well been written in Chinese. The next day, we paid up. That was the last day, we ever played that game.
