What is a magnetic flow meter you would ask? And what is this story about it? Well I do not know how many of you believe in ghosts and supernatural powers. Most likely, as a regular, sane person, you do not give it much thought. To tell the truth, neither did I till I visited an ancient University-turned-museum in South China.

The Basic Definition Of A Magnetic Flow Meter

If you look up the definition of magnetic flow meter, you will find it described as an instrument which is used for testing the potability of the water that makes its inroads from the sea to our kitchen taps. There are a number of varieties of magnetic flow meters, each one of them utterly necessary for verification of the water quality, whether it’s going to the tap, or coming from the tap.

Depending upon the type of water, the pipes and the processing of the water, there are different magnetic flow meters installed. The decision power is based upon the quality of the water and the expertise of the magnetic flow meter expert.

What Happened In That Old University In South China?

I am a physics professor myself with a doctorate and more than 15 years experience. However, I have never found any feasible explanation of what happened that late evening. I, along with my students, (some 30-35 of them) were strolling through the museum, enjoying the exhibits, when, all of a sudden, a hand, an ice cold hand, grabbed mine, making me jump out of my skin.

The person with the ice cold hand turned to me and, gazing deep into my eyes, asked me to follow him. My students and I followed him through a tunnel deep, deep inside the castle. All of a sudden, we saw that there was a class. There was a teacher and there were a lot of the students whom I never saw before. The teacher was speaking on magnetic flow meters. I was shocked beyond words.

I turned to watch the expression on my students’ faces – it was total disbelief but, thankfully, no fear. Hence, we retreated slowly from the tunnel and went to inform the caretaker of the house. As we were taking, we saw him confidently walking a few feet above the earth. We ran from there with sweat on our faces and never returned to that University Museum.

Nobody will ever forget the class where a ghost was explaining magnetic flow meter to others.
